Hi. I have been using a external DVD burner for a while now. I just got a old P3 PC that I am going to leave in my basement for when I need to do long backups using DVD-RB backups. The problem I am having is that my external burner is only Firewire and there are no Firewire jacks on that PC.
Does anyone know if they sell wires or jack the are Firewire to USB? Thanks for any info.

I've seen some incredible things on the internet. Some of those things have been cables/converters that can change just about any connector to any other type.

Unless it's really old, just get a Firewire PCI card. If it's that old, it would have USB1.1 and that would be pretty well useless for DVD burning, especially going from USB1.1 to Firewire.
You should be able to find one between $10-20US that would work fine. Get one with USB2.0 and Firewire for even more options.
