I'm following one of the Subtitles guides I found here in Videohelp.com (there are 3 or 4 very similar):
1) I copied the original DVD to the HD with DVD Shrink;
2) I demux the original VOB files with VobEdit - video, audio and subtitles (*.sup);
3) The next step was to convert the subtitles from the "sup" format to "srt" or "sub" with Subtitle Workshop. But when I tried to load the subtitles, I found that the "sup" format was not supported by Subtitle Workshop. So why there's a reference to it in the guides?
Someone help me, please: how can I convert the "sup" files into "srt" or "sub" format?
Thanks,
Mário

I am wondering the same. None of the programs that people mention support sup to srt conversions. Any ideas?

maybe subtosrt / suptosrt ocr , http://netti.nic.fi/~vpksoft1/SubToSrt_OCR.htm
or
subtitlecreator
but if you have the dvd use subrip.
