  1. hi, i'm trying to add subtitles to a DVD4 movie that i have on my hardrive. it is in a VIDEO_TS folder with these files in it:

how do i do this with ffmpegx without touching the video/audio quality?

    -fission

  2. You can't add subtitles with ffmpegX without reencoding the movie again.

is there any way to add subtitles, with anyother app? I want to add 2 .srt files to a dvd, that has no subtitles at all.

  4. Try with DVD Studio Pro, but it does not support SRT.

major do I have any opitions?

  7. I don't know of any, apart from copying/pasting the titles one by one to DVD Studio Pro. I could add in the future a tool to do the conversion (ffmpegX has a tool for converting SRT to DVDSP 1.5 but the format has changed in later versions of DVDSP).

You can try TitleLab for converting .srt -> DVDSP.

  9. Unless I'm wrong, TitleLab is also using the format for DVDSP 1.5.

so are there any guides on copying/pasting the titles one by one to DVD Studio Pro? I have never used DSP

  12. You just click the subtitle timeline and a cursor appears in the preview, and there you can paste any text.
