Hi everyone,
Just wondering if there is a way to have some dvds on a hard drive and watch them through the TV.
I have my computer downstairs and burned some dvd's (full) on my hard drive. The TV is in upstairs. Is there a component or something that will allow me to control the DVD playback of the movie. And also, is there a way to hook up the TV to the pc that I could have full control of sound and video just as if I were watching a DVD in a DVD player.
Basically what I'm trying to do is have a catalog of DVD's on a hard drive so I can scan through the movie list and pick out a movie and watch it on the TV.
Possibly, even in Divx mode.
Thank you,
Craig

It is possible, you'll need one of the Kiss DVD/Divx players that has an ethernet port. I'm not sure if they will play DVD's from the hard drive though.
Edit - this http://www.aria.co.uk/ProductInfoComm.asp?ID=16514 will play VOB files from your pc.He's a liar and a murderer, and I say that with all due respect.

Can you play SRT subtitle files over top of a DVD you're watching on PC?
