  1. Hi, i have recently purchased a new Sony laptop with DL DVD RW. Although i have yet to try to test DL DVDR's i have burned a couple of DVD-Rs and tried to play in my Sony Dav-S500, but for some reason it says Disc is Dirty and wont play the dvd??

I have burned dvd's at all speeds using Nero to no avail.
The media i am using has worked perfectly before when using my other pioneer dvd writer.

I would really appreciate if anyone could give me any advice or help

    Thanks

I'd use some other program to burn DVD's if I were you If you have success with another program then I'd suspect the problem was with Nero's settings somewhere (leaving a session open, for example).

Post back and let us know how you made ut, ok?

  5. hey, a bit of good news. I tried burning a dvd with DVD Architect 3, and it worked !! Although that is only one dvd, i hope that will solve the problem.

However, i'm not sure if DVD Architect 3 will burn dual layer?? coz Nero does and unfortunately Nero is not working well for me??

Is there a way of checking my settings to ensure everything is set sorrectly in nero, coz that is the programme i have used and am most comfortable with.

    Anyway thanks for the help
