  1. after coming home from prague i took my mmc card out of my digital camera and tried to put it in a kodak kiosk to print out the pictures. I put it in wrong the first time (diagram was unclear) but got it in right the second time. however it says on the screen that there was something wrong and the pictures couldn't be shown. When i put the card back in the camera it looks like there is no card in the camera. it's a pretty old digital camera (logitech quicksmart 510)

just wondering if anyone knows if it is at all possible to fix this problem, or even keep some of the pictures?

any help would be greatly appreciated

Try using the MMC card in a PC with a memory card reader, if one is available (a friends maybe).

There's flash card file recovery software availalble too if the card has become corrupted. Most come with a free trial that will allow you to see what it can recover. Recovery usually requires purchase.

Google returns about 789,000 hits if you enter "flash card file recovery software" in the Google bar (now where did I came up with that search phrase?) ...

I used a program called Art Plus Digital Photo Recovery. It is free to
    download here:

    http://www.artplus.hr/adapps/eng/dpr.htm

I was very impressed...I tried some other programs before that but they said they couldn't find it..my dad had a corrupted floppy disk (hard to imagine huh! :P) that wouldn't let you open or copy the files anymore and this little program restored them all..it's made specifically for images and will work on floppies as well as solid state media.

  8. sweet,

some of the pictures i took were priceless (especially the ones of the 2 girls staying with us in the bath naked and kissing) so needless to say i was gutted when they wouldn't work. if this method pulls off i'll be over the moon,

    cheers
