I'm working out the details on a system I'm building and I'm down to choosing the Mobo and CPU.
This is the Mobo I'm pretty well decided on:

This the the CPU I was going to use:

However after looking at Foxconn's website I'm seeing the lowest speed Northwood listed is 2.4Ghz.

Does that mean this CPU won't work for some reason since it's a 2.26Ghz?
If so I'll have to drop an extra $20 on this Proc I guess.

Unless I go with a Prescott. But the Northwoods get so much better reviews and run cooler in this speed range.
Any input is appreciated.

I just built a pc with the Intel 2.53 Northwood processor and a Asus P4P800SE mobo. I backed up 2 movies with DVDRB using the newly built pc. The temperature on the CPU while DVDRB was running only got up to 41C which is good. I would stay with a Northwood core processor because they don't have high temp problems like the PRESHOTT's!

That's likely what I'll end up doing. What is your opinion on the Mobo? I've always heard Foxconn is a good board if you don't plan to overclock, which I'm not on this rig. It also has some feature the others I've looked at don't, like a firewire interface on the mobo, which is nice since the case I bought has a front firewire port.

I'm not too familiar with FOXCONN mobo's. The features look good and the price is reasonable. From reading the rewiews it seems customers are satisfied with the mobo.
I've used ASUS mobo's because they are stable and reasonably priced. They also have good warranties and there aren't hassles in RMA'ing the mobo back to them. -
Foxconn makes the majority of Dell's Mobos are the moment. It that helps or hinders the reputation at all
