  1. I'm doing a videotape to dvd project for a friend. They have a couple of kid videotapes that are pretty worn. When I capture it evrything seems washed out in white. Yes I know that hardware is probably a better solution and if this was for me I wouldn't bother doinf it at all. But if there is a way to improve this through a filter or a series of filters, I'd appreciate any help.

    Tmpgenc encoder has some basic color correction filters, as does Virtualdub, though with VD, it would have to be in AVI format.
