  1. hey guys, My main question is how do I build a CVD?

Say I download a TV series (im not asking where or anything, or condoning), how would I be able to make a DVD that contained all episodes as well as a Menu pointing to each episode?

From what I have read, the best option might be to convert each file to a CVD mpeg, and then there is a tool somewhere apparently that will convert the header of the CVD to a DVD mpeg 2 header. Apparently this results in a DVD compliant mpeg 2 file but with a really low file size. I read about one guy putting about 6 movies on one DVD, is this really possible?

So how might I go about doing this? I have TMPEG Enc + if that helps? I looked through the tools section but couldnt find a template that was for CVD's, so I would obviously have to set the bitrate and stuff up manually, but Its possible right?

    Thanks for your time.
    Yours,

  2. If you mean CVD, and NOT VCD, these are completely DVD compatible as long as you change the audio to 48k. CVD w/48k is 1/2 D1, 352x480.

SVCD requires manipulation, such as the tools and header trick you mention. SVCD resolution is not DVD-compliant, 480x480.

VCD is the smallest file of the bunch, requires only minor tweaking as resolution is compliant, 352x240.

If its svcd then patch it with dvdpatcher and patch it back when creating the dvd files,i use tmpgenc dvd author for this, easy to make menus.Works on all newer dvd players i tried.
    I think,therefore i am a hamster.
