Hi Major, great job on ffmpeg, very handy tool.

I was wondering if you could tell us if there are any command-line options we could use in the meantime in order to batch out a bunch of conversions? I've got several hours of footage, all in .asf format and I would like it in quicktime. Thanks.

    Major,
Does it use ffmpeg or mencoder to create H.264/MP4 ?
Will we be able to apply denoise, dering and deblock filters on sources ?

It uses ffmpeg. Probably I'll also add the same with mencoder later.

  7. I am glad to hear that the next update is so close. Thanks again for all your hard work.

I use ffmpegx mostly for PSP conversion so I am looking forward to it supporting h.264 for the PSP. You may already be aware of all this, but I thought I would mention it anyway. PSP Video 9 and 3GP Converter both use ffmpeg for Windows to convert to PSP's AVC format. I don't know what differences there are between the ffmpeg encoders for the two platforms but I was hoping that if the Windows version can do it, so can the Mac although I realize this may be a muxing issue and not an encoding issue. The PSP will not recognize standard h.264 files. It requires the "Sony atom" in the header simliar to the widescreen trick.

Hopefully this helps, if not, oh, well.

  8. Indeed PSP H.264 has a non-standard muxing profile, but this will be worked out.

  9. Releasing of 0.0.9t should happen today or tomorrow.
