I have been using windv to capture from my advc-55.
Works pretty good. However I found out unexpectedly that large vhs tapes cuz it to break into two files. (RobRoy 2hrs 39 mins) I set the limit to 1000000.
I could not find if theres a way to make it unlimited or if there was a reason I would not want it all as one file. ?

    Thanks

    Hi freebird1963,

I presume you're referring to "the limit" as the max number of frames. A max of 1,000,000 for PAL (Hint: Complete your location details), would mean around 11 hours, slightly less for NTSC.

What have you got the "Discontinuity threshold" and "Every Nth frame" set as? If they're not set to 1, try that.

Also, how big are the files? Is one of them around 4Gb? I ask because a FAT32 file system has a limit of 4Gb for file sizes. If it's FAT32, change it to NTFS. But, as you're running Win2K, this is unlikely.

    windv is setup as follows.
    NTSC by the way.
    discontinuity threshold 0
    max Avi size [frames] 1000000
    Every N-th Frame 1
type 2 avi (vid+auds) is checked.

    Thanks
