  1. Would appreciat any & all help on this. First i am a NEWBIE (big time), trying to rip Sopranos (I own the series). It seems i am MISSING VOBS ? after ripping it showed Input file vts_01_3.0vob, vts_01_4.0VOB , 5 & 7.
    Output file vts01_1.vob , vts01_.3VOB , vts01_.4 ,5 & 7.
    sorpranos ha differant series on the disc because it was originally made for TV.There are prob 4 or 5 episodes. I know that there is apx. 3 hours of video. In ripper 2.40 it shows program chains, There are 3 of them in the 1st.#1 reads (angle 1, 00:57:22), chain #2 reads (angle 1, 01:00:01 ) chain#3 reads (angle 1, 00:59:08 )

    There are 2 other pgog MAIN chains #2 & #3 but very small times like 7 min. and 15 minutes. ??
    I checked the settings as per sefy's guide and even increased the 4000 mb to 6000 mb thinking that the movie is longer.
    Can aany one tell me if this is right or am i doing something wrong, and what does it all mean ?
    WHAT A 1ST MOVIE I SELECTED TO RIP !!!!
    !!!! WOW !!!
    PS using ripper 2.40, dvd2avi & tmpge.

  2. This happens for all the Soprano's DVDs (season I and II). Not sure why/how but what you need to do is try to play each VOB in media player. Normally you'll have something like this:

    xx_1.vob
    xx_2.vob
    xx_6.vob

    One of them will be un-playable (normally the first or last; sometimes both), so erase it. Then re-number all the playable ones from 1 up to whatever, and continue as normal. You'll note that the play times in Media Player come out to much longer than the actually source runtime; again just ignore this and everything will work (at least it did for me).

  4. just rename them:

    xx_06.vob -> xx_01.vob
    xx_04.vob -> xx_02.vob

    got the idea ????
