I have been lookin at the new DivX 6 container format *.divx. I have figured out how to use Fuse.exe and write my own xml document but for some reason i can't put my overlay on my menu.avi file. Maybe i'm missing something easy here but i have been looking at the fluffybuilder and the making of last man standing and can't seem to get it to work. On last man standing the menus.avi file already have the overlay and on the fluffybuilder exampel the xsub avi files are already created. I have tried the bmptoxsub program but i can't get that to work either. Some help would be greatly appreciated.

    Baldrick,

Sorry, I do not have an standalone player for DivX at home. From what i understand there's no player out there that supports the new divx container format yet. I think you can play the file on your player if you rename it from divx to avi, but you loose the menu function. I have not tested this, but maybe someone else can.

Would be nice to have the TviX or XBMC support this new format.

I have a Modix HD-3510 and it plays the divx extension (did not have to rename divx to avi) but don’t have the menu function.

Pether, I downloaded the DivX test CD 2.0 (from www.divxtest.com) and found that 2 of my 3 hardware players support this format, with the .divx extension, including multiple audio tracks and multiple subtitles. Those players are the Pioneer DV-578 (w/ firmware mod) and the Powerpack X-600 (original firmware). But no menus.

I created some of my own files, with multiple subtitles and multiple audio tracks, based on examples found at DivX Labs. But no matter how I tried, I wasn't able to include proper chapter points, and media track names (such as 'English stereo', or 'French', etc.) The media tracks appear as 'Audio Track 1', 'Subtitle 2', etc.

Could you post a working xml example?
