I'm having a strange problem with my DVP320. I've been using this player for almost a year now and it hasn't given any problems. But recently it is acting strange...
I'm unable to switch it on. Yes, I've checked the power supply. The power cable is fine. Sometimes when I disconnect the mains and connect it again and then switch the unit on, the red light comes on for a while but then the unit shuts off immediately.
Can anyone tell me what the problem could be? I want to try and figure it out before giving it for repairs.

Just a guess - could your player be getting too hot? People have reported problems with various Philips DVD players if they got too hot. Make sure that you have a lot of open space around the player.

Well I don't think it's an overheating problem since I've tried not switching on the player for a couple of days.
