  1. hey guys I just tried to back up a back up I made a while ago with dvd decrypter and I got this error message.

I also tried making an image with nero and got another error message. The dvd plays fine with no errors and I was just wondering if there is any way around it, or if I wouldn't be able to copy the disc at all? I've cleaned the disc and tried both ways again and still the same error messages. Any of you guys have any ideas?

I would suggest it may have been bad media or a bad burn. You could try copying with vobblanker or ISO Buster.

I wouldn't be suprised if the dvd plays fine (in a stndalone) as PC DVD drives are more sensative to errors. Playing a dvd is different from copying.

Its possible to generally skip bad sectors when playing a dvd, but for copying which relies on a bit for bit copy, each individual data is required to be copied to the hard disk.

  3. I had the same problem. Plays fine on my standalone. Even checked with dvdinfo, no errors. I wasn't able to copy. Sorry.

re-copy the original. The backup probably has some bad sectors the DVD drive in the pc cannot read. Have you done an error scan?

  5. Try using dvdfab decrypter. It was able to copy a few backups that gave me problems with other programs.
