    I got a new computer Athlon 1.4 256 DDR and a 16X Toshiba DVD, but can't get pass 1.2x ... my old machine has a 4x Toshiba DVD and its a PIII and it rips alot faster...

    Please Help... I tried DMA, and it says its on... I ran Windows 2000, Windows xp... but no luck!!!

    Guess what most of the new Toshba Drive Sukk there max speed is 1.3x or if you lucky 2.0x ...so to bad

    lite-on is taiwanese optical media manufacturer, meaning they don't rebadge other manufacture's products..they make their own...all their stuff is good, even great for their price

    lite-on going into DVD-RW/+RW?

    search for lite-on or pioneer 16X dvd-rom drives...should be around $50-$60 shipped

    lite-on

    pioneer

    both should be 16X around $50-$60 including shipping

    I have a sony 16x that rips fine also, starts at around 7x and gets to around 10x on most dvd's.
