  1. For those of you using the ATI setup, do you use their software to record your shows? Or do you use something else like WINDVR? I am using WINDVR with my 9700 AIW along with TitanTV and its actually working quite well. I know I was thinking about getting a Hauppauge tuner but the digital aspect of the ATI setup is making me think twice. Thanks!

  2. I've tried ATI's software for capture and it just didn't work.It was so buggy.I use VirtualDub for capture. WinDVR is also fairly good for MPEG capture.

  3. You might want to try MMC 9.06. I use it with my AIW card and it is stable. Other versions did not worked well.
WinDVR has better features like playback inside the recorder window and commercial skip (S key) and a better interface too. Also WinDVR will record audio to 2 channel AC-3 for Mpeg2.
I use WinDVR with a Happaugge card in another machine.

  4. I to have had problems with ATI's software, MMC 9.06 never ran well for me, in fact ATI's support told me that the version has known issues. I have been reading about Pinnacle's PCTV 110i Video Capture card. Suppose to be pretty good. Comes packaged with Pinnacle MediaManager
    and Studio QuickStart.

I use MMC for manual recording and BeyondTV3 for scheduled recording.

I use MMC for all my captures so far. I upgraded to 9.08 as I had problems with 9.06. I went back to my orignal drivers and all the problems cleared up from before but now scheduled programs crash the MMC.

I'll figure it out, I have PLENTY of free time now....

If your having a problem with MMC try driver build 4.09-4.11 seems to have the fewest problems.
