I tried to burn a few MPGs (29.970 fps, 352*240 (4:3), MPG1 = MPEG 1 (VCD)) on a single VCD using Nero, specifying a menu. All seems to go OK till a load the CD in my Philips DVP642. The menu comes up, I select an item, playback starts but the picture is distorted, streaked, pixelating, jumping around - just terrible.
I go back to the menu, pick another file, and the same thing happens there. If I join all the separate files into one file with TMPGENC and burn it, it plays fine.
What am I doing wrong? Can I put multiple files on one VCD? I know I can do it when I burn multiple AVIs (in ISO).
Any ideas.

Blind Bambi.....no eyed deer.
Nero's not that clever for VCDs (esp when using titles & menu's)...personally I dont use VCD's and menu's..as you've already stated a single mpeg file (mpeg1) overcomes the problem your having....so why not either
a) burn on DVD (with a menu).
b) burn on VCD (CD) but use something like VCDEasy instead?
Cant help much more as avi's are'my thang' not mpeg1's/vcd's...No2: We want Information.
No6: You wont get it!
