    hi!
    i can't play certain videos...
    i get a white screen with red lines & text saying:
    "can't find vids:divx decompressor"
    i have ffdshow installed.
    nimo codec pack...

    Codec packs always cause problems. Get rid of Nimo codec pack, ffdshow and DivxLight Decoder. Then download the latest version of the codecs you really need and install them. Probably Xvid (or Divx), MPEG 2, AC3, etc. You may also need the old Divx 3.11 codec for some Divx files.

    I've had this problem in the past.Once installing codec packs everything gets messed up and even when you uninstall,you have problems.
    NEVER install codec packs IMO
