  3. You did not specify what format your music video is in - that would have been useful.

To be slightly more specific, and this answer is more for avi files, you will need VirtualDub plus some of its custom filters (they are the ones that accomplish the functions you describe).

Adding a logo or a permanent text: you might want to use the logo filter
    http://neuron2.net/logo/logo.html
It enables you to permanently display a bitmap logo on top of your video

For pute text, you can use the textsub filter for instance (you'll need to create a subtitle file with your text and the subtitle timing, you can use any of the subtitle tools for that, like Subtitle Workshop for instance).

What I usually do is create the type on a blue background and then use the bluescreen effect in my editor (Mainactor) to place it over the video. You could also use a black background if the type is a light color and then use the overlay effect. I hope this helps

If you made your logo in Photoshop and it has a transparent layer, you can save it as a PSD or PNG. You can then use your video editor or Wax2 (free) to overlay the image on top of your video. Wax2 will auto detect alpha channels in a PSD or PNG and make them transparent.

Any good video editor should easily do this, if yours don't then try Wax2.
