I'm trying to edit video in Virtualdubmod.
For some reason it's running really slooow.
    It was fine before.
    I haven't changed anything.
I dowloaded a fresh copy and the same thing happens.
    What am I doing wrong?

I need to use Virtualdubmod as I need to get video from a DVD.
And I need to use Virtualdubmod because no other editing programs seem to be able to read the video files I create from my DVD.

Also what other programs are there that I can use to get video from a DVD apart from Virtualdubmod?

    Thanks.

Can you post the file information VirtualDUBMod shows for the file? After opening the file, go to File --> File Information. It brings up a window.

    Specify the following:
    Frame size,fps
    # frames
    Number of I,P,B frames

    and audio track
    format,
    number of frames.

There are a lot of reasons for what's happening (most likely candidate a "bad" mpeg2 codec you recently installed) but it's good to first understand the video you are viewing.
The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know.
