Ok, i have a lot of movies that i backed up, but what im trying to do is make the full screen movies into widescreen. Is there any problem out there that will help me change the resolution size, and maybe let me preview it before i burn it?

The aspect of a DVD compliant video is determined by the video header when played back on PC or the ifo file on a DVD when played back on TV. The software your using for playback on PC or the DVD player adjusts the output.
In other words the resolution (i.e. 720x480) doesn't determine the aspect. A 720x480 can be either 16:9 or 4:3. You have to encode/author to it's respective aspect so it plays back correctly.
