  1. recently I've been seeing alot on movies in MP4 format. They are only 250-350 Megs and the qualilty is really good but I would like to watch these on my DVD player. I downloaded apples new Quicktime 7.0 to watch them on my computer. How can I convert these to DVD?

VCO's DivxToDVD app will handle it. It's free and works very well.

  4. Thanks rumplestiltskin. I have tried that program. The video converts fine but the audio it totally missed up. It sounds like its being played super slow. I wonder why? Could one of my Codecs be missed up? Thanks

It may be that the Divx file was encoded improperly (out of spec). Or it might be a goof codec in your system.

You might try using TMPGenc Express for the conversion. If it chokes on the file (when you first open the avi) it usually tells you why. If it accepts the file, convert it to mpeg2 for DVD but drop the bitrate to 3000 (it will suggest something way highter but you don't need it because the avi isn't using it). Then you can take the resulting mpeg2 file and either burn it to a disc directly (ISO - if your player supports it) or author it (to VOB's) in whatever app you normally use; I like TMPGenc DVD Author.
