mpg movie cannot burn to vcd - cyclic redundancy error

I tried to burn a mpg movie to vcd in nero but it failed halfway due to "cyclic redundancy " error which I found out which I tried to read it in virtualdub. Nero 6 say Data error
The mpg movie was encoded a long time ago from a avi file which I have since deleted.

the mpg play fine from start to end.
I try to reencode that mpg movie again in TMPGEenc but the movie encode freeze halfway

any hope of burning that mpg to vcd?
