  1. I can't remember how to get my specs...the one where you copy something into Notepad and it has all your specs. Can someone tell me how to do it...I think you type something in RUN...but I can't remember

    Hi,

    you can always go to start-control panel-system.

    Then in the first tab you'll have all your ram and cpu power you can copy and paste.

  3. That's not the one...there's one where you enter something into RUN and you can save it as a txt file...it has everything...I know its simple...I just can't remember. Some companies ask you to send it when you have a problem with hardware...

    Try typing 'msinfo32.exe' into Run.

    EDIT: BTW, I found that by using 'Help and Support' on the start menu, then 'Use Tools to view....' , then 'Advanced System Information'. If you go that route you will see a lot more other options to check your system. It gives you a listing of all available tools for the OS.

    try microsofts knowledge base. Do a search for config and you might bump into it faster.
