I'm trying to burn a menu-based DVD (total size 6.6 GB) onto a dual layer Verbatim DVD+R.
Once the burn commenced, the approximate time left clock rose to over 50 minutes, then fell instantly to 36 mins. This 36 minutes expired when the overall burn progress was only at 51%, and then nothing.
The time left clock was stuck with one second remaining; the total elapsed time continued to increase.
The DVD-RW drive light stayed on, and for a while, the hard drive light stayed on, occasionally flickering before giving up.
After an hour, nothing had changed, so I cancelled the burn. The DVD drive light stayed on, and I couldn't eject the disc until I powered down the computer.
I have:
Athlon 3500 processor
1024 MB RAM
Sony RW DW-22A
I'd be very grateful for any help.

You could always output the dvd to the hd and burn with for example dvddecrypter(make an iso with imgtools classic first) or other dvd burning tools.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I did think about using another application to burn, but I see it very much as a case of being Plan B.
After splashing the cash on updating from DVD Architect 2, I would prefer to have fully functioning software.
Can anyone think what might be the problem?
