This may be a dumb question, but is there a specified distance a chart should be from the camera when you're using a resolution chart .?
I know close up and manually focused even the finest detail displays well, but as you increase distance those finer lines start to "shimmer" and lose the detail.
So, when the makers claim 540 lines of horizontal resolution , how far from the camera is the chart ?![]()

Lens resolution varies over the zoom range.
The arrows around the pattern edges are intended to be aligned with the video frame edges. I'm not sure of nominal zoom position but I would assume it would be close to 50mm equivalent used for still 35mm cameras.
