How does svcd choose the correct audio channel?

I got some dead zone episodes that i want to put on a dvd, however their in Deutsch & English.

When i play them in media player they start out in deutsch and i have to go to audio switcher to pick channel 2 to get english.

Im pretty sure svcd would encode them in deutsch also , it seems to be the default.

Any ideas how i make them encode in english only? is their a program i can download to remove additional channels? or can i choose the channel in svcd2dvd.

Are these mpegs with 2 audio streams or one audio stream with different languages on the left/right channel of the stereo?

The original file is an .avi with 2 audio streams , english and Deutch

When playing in media player classic the default is in deutch but it allows me to select audio 2 which is english.

I suppose i could probably use virtual dub and remove the deutch audio , however i have little experience with that.

I went ahead and tried encoding them with svcd2dvd when finished, they were playing in deutch and the english audio stream was gone.

ill mess around with virtual dub , but if you have any ideas id appreciate it, not a big deal though.

SVCD2DVD can create a DVD with 2 selectable audio tracks from an mpeg with 2 audio streams. Can you make a sample (using MakeSample) of say 5MB and email it to me for investigation?

It will be in .avi form. In the subject i listed my user id so you know who its coming from.

Thanks F@tBastard got it. If you download the new build (2.0.2022) you should find that you will get a dvd with 2 selectable audio tracks from that avi.
