You'd think this would be easy for me, but I'm having a brain fart today.

Is there a free codec available to support just the audio extracted from a VOB in LPCM format?

I searched our tools section here, but came up blank.

I own DIVX, and couldn't convert a VOB to DIVX because I was missing an LPCM codec. (non copyright, just needed the audio from a home movie but I don't have the source files anymore).

AFAIK LPCM is just WAV, so if you've got Windows Media Player then you should have it already.
    If in doubt, Google it.

Change the .LPCM extention to .PCM. Any audio program should be able to play it. In fact, most audio programs should be able to run the .LPCM file if you "Open As..." and select PCM or WAV.
