  1. I am trying to convert some of my DivX (Div3) files over to DVD for burning. I am able to convert the files with Avi2DVD and I get both an .ISO and the AUDIO_TS/VIDEO_TS pair. I have attempted burning the .iso with DVD Decryptor and the AUDIO_TS/VIDEO_TS pair with Nero 6 but for some reason when I put the DVD into my DVD player (It plays everything BTW) I get an "Incorrect Region" error on my DVD player. When I look at the region on the VIDEO_TS files it shows all 8 regions. Is there something I am doing wrong here? I am new to this stuff so if you need more information please ask.

    Thanks

  2. I'm not sure if this will cure your problem, but here goes,

What I would try is as follows,

Open your VIDEO_TS folder into DVDshrink (select 'Open Files' at the top of the screen) then,

Select the 'Backup' button at the top of the screen and you will see a dialog box open. One of the sub headings says something like 'DVD region'. Set this to 'region free' if it isn't already then on the first sub heading select to backup as an 'ISO image and burn with DVDdecrypter'.

This should set your DVD to region free and will burn the ISO image using DVDdecrypter.
I would advise testing this with a DVD/RW first to make sure it will work.

Your DVD player is probably giving you this fault because your DVD has all regions enabled and your player cant decide which one to use ?

Give it a go, it may work, but as I said I'm not 100% certain.

I think you'll find that AVI2DVD creates region-free discs as-is (showing all 8 regions or alternatively only showing region 0 confirms this) and it's actually meaning incorrect region as in PAL/NTSC. Without knowing your location, I can't tell you what format you should be using, but it's well-known that quite a few DVD players in NTSC land won't play PAL. Whereas most PAL DVD players will play NTSC. I'll stab at that you're using a PAL source, and your DVD player won't play PAL.
    If in doubt, Google it.
