    can anyone tell me how to rip a part from a xvid ... ? there is like one min i want from a movie ? how to ? ... and dont tell me virtualdub cant get it to work

  2. well, other than virtualdub, you could load it into Nero Vision Express, goto make movie, add the xvid, edit it to just the part you want and export it. Probably not as clean or easy as a Vdub job, but another solution never the less.

    If you cant get virtualdub to work as you suggest, maybe you can explain what problems you are having with virtualdub so others can help.

    "Couldn't Locate decompressor for format "Xvid" (Divx +4 ". and others" )

    Virutaldub requires a video for windows (VFW) compatible codec to decompress video. Directshow Codes, such as those used by windows media player, are not suitable ..


    1. i got Directshow codes installed
    2. and media player is working ...

    You need a XviD Codec
    If in doubt, Google it.
