  1. Actually, I did put Vobinput in the Besweet directory, before I uninstalled it, I moved the file.

    But I'm going to replace it with the version you linked to, and see if that makes a difference....

    EDIT -

    Well, I copied the vobinput over the existing file, just to check, and no effect. Here's a snip of the Besweet logfile. I was lastly able to get episode 40 + 50 to work. So, I went to the DVD that I had copied the AVI files to and tried 41-49, and none worked. I'd hate to DL them again. but here you go:

    c:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\besweet\besweet.exe -core( -input c:\avisource\Bleach - 50.avi -output c:\avisource\EncodedVideo\Bleach - 50.mp2 -logfilea c:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\besweet\BeSweet.log ) -ssrc( --rate 48000 ) -toolame( -m s -b 192 )

    hmm. from what fansubbing group is that?

    could you, once again, try to upload them to me for testing purpose? PM me if you lost the infos =\\\.

    I wonder why it seems to only not work with you =|.

  3. It's failing on ALL versions, it doesn't matter what fansub group it's from. Mostly Lunar, but some are Bleach-Society subs.

    I don't see the point ftping them to you, I know they'll only work for you, and I'll be right back where I am. The problem is in this besweet program. I can't for the life of me figure out WHY it's doing what it's doing. Some episodes work with no problem, others it just says the following:

    Note - I got bleach - 51.avi to work, but bleach - 41.avi doesn't......... and I tried downloading it again with no luck. Here's the besweet logs:

    Hmm... You're right, there's no point of ftping them to me, plus I already tried to convert Lunar episodes and it came out okay.

    I gotta be honest with you right now man. All I can find to say is "WTF". We seems to be using the same eps, same batch, but it seems like your computer doesn't like my method at all!!!

    I can't think of something else but to do it the manual way: Extract the audio with VDUB, Encode with BeSweet.

    Or, you could try the sister-version of this tutorial, made by GHDPro. He made it even more automatic by making a script with PHP, it's very advanced. It's kind of long to setup but it's really worth it, if you are willing to try. It basically uses the same system i'm using, but it has more support for MKV, and it automatically detects the video infos.

    http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=38694

    I'm sorry man =| If you need help with Vdub or something, tell me. Damn! I feel powerless.. But at least you got the video encoding part right..

  5. Well, I don't want you to think I'm not grateful Aktee, I really am. I just wish I could figure out WHY it's doing what it's doing. Makes no sense to me.

    Mediainfo for all eps match, as far as audio goes, so I can't see why episode 40 works, and 41 suddenly is unknown. I've converted several series with absolutely no problems at all. The issue with the AIR episode was fixed with Quenc, so that's good. But I'm just mad as heck over his Bleach problem. I'd really like to get these eps converted. I may try the method you mentioned, but if it's using Besweet - I fear the results will be the same.

    Hmm.
    Can you try encoding manually with Quenc, but with audio on?
    We'll try to use the built-in mp2 encoder in Quenc.

    If you need help with that, reply i'll write a step-by-step.

    Any chance you could make the .ogm guides a little more noob-friendly?

    I mean, I've done a fair share of converting and whatnot, but the .ogm guide is extremely difficult to follow.

    I'd call it more of a 'Cliff Notes' for someone who has done it before.

    Yes - I'm working on that. Unfortunately, I'm full of projects right now, and to name a few: MKV guide, Front-End for everything, school, work. hahaha.

    But, it is made to be understandable for those who tried the AVI Tutorial.

    Please do so, or just ask question here, i'd be glad to help you step by step.

    Ok, well, I don't have $2000 to spare or whatever for CCE-SP, and I don't have money for CCE Basic either.

    The guide for .ogm Quenc is the exact same as the CCE one, and even tells me to make a CCE batch. I can't use that in Quenc.

    If I use the Quenc, how would I go about it?

    Hey, you misread what I wrote =).

    I said to look at the "Avi tutorial", for the quenc encoder. What you actually did is checking the CCE tutorial for OGM..
    I know that you want to convert OGM, and not AVIs, but I wrote the tutorial while basing myself on my own AVI tutorial.

    If you read carefully, in the header of the ogm tutorial, it says..

    This OGM-to-DVD Tutorial is not meant for learning. If you want to learn, check the AVI one, they are very similar. Only difference is that the OGM one needs to demultiplex first. You should have a minimum of computer knowledge, I might go very fast in this guide. You also need to have read the AVI tutorial.

    But to be honest, if you really want to get things done
    Look at the batch to copy.
    There will be a section to edit, things like..
    Code:
    :: Path for source videos (The video you want to encode should reside in there)
    @set sourcevideo=C:\OGMSource

    :: Path to your encoder. Select QUENC.exe
    @set quenc=C:\Program Files\Quenc\quenc.exe

    :: Path for DVD2SVCD (The folder where DVD2SVCD is located)
    @set dvd2svcd=d:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD
    It's real simple, but it is not explained, hence why I suggest to look at the AVI tutorial.

  11. i was trying out this guide and got as far as making the batch file, but when i run the 'batchconvert' file, it produces all the needed files except for any avs files.

    it creates two folders: Projects and Videos

    it also creates the individule batch files for each episode

    in the video folder, there is an EncodedVideo folder, but there are no avs files in it

    Wow. hmm

    it creates 2 folder, one named Project and the other Video? =|

    Can you tell me exactly what guide you used (avi/cce, ogm/cce [..]), and also, copy the batchconvert.bat in here inside [ quote ] ?
    Quote Quote
  13. well actually, nvm, i didnt realize this program wouldnt like paths that had spaces in thier names so i had to rename some folders and now it works
    Quote Quote
  14. but there is another question i have.

    since my source was mkv to begin with, im only encoding avi video, there is no audio invovled, how can i set this up to where it skips the audio step since there is no use in doing it, ill be processing the audio in another program and then joining it with the encoded video

    ooo ok.
    sorry about that man, new version is coming out soon. Actually, it's a front-end for it. =|. Everything little things like that will be gone hehe.

    If you got any other prob, post it up here

  16. more about my audio need.

    my sources are mkvs with two audio tracks, one is 5.1 English HE-ACC audio and one is 2 channel Japanese audio. since it doesnt seem that this method would support perserving the 5.1 when going to ac3 or allowing for the seperate tracks to stay seperate, i just want to completely cut out the audio step and convert the audio on its own.

    well hmm, as you might have noticed, I do not support MKV yet =l.

    But the easiest way would be to run the batch as usual, open \encodedvideo\batch\batch_for_xxx.bat
    with notepad

    and remove the line that execute BeSweet.

    If you think you will convert MKV veeery often, you should use GHDPro's method. He uses the same concept as me but he upgraded it all for H264&VFR videos. It's also more automatic.

  18. i dont knwo if you can answer this, but i noticed on GHDPro's method, that he has the resize listed as 640x426 for fullscreen, while you list 660x440.

    is there a particular reason you chose a different size?

    now considering that my subs will be soft subs, do i have to resize at all? couldnt i just adjust the hieght of the subs when i author them (using dvd-lab pro)

    Yeah.. His black borders are bigger.
    Some people agrees with him, some people agree with me. It all comes down to personal choice.
    With my setting on my 61", I can see a little bit of leftover of black subs.
    But with the same settings, on my 21", some subs are cut.

    It all depends on your tv and needs. =).

    If your subs are going to be soft subs: Nope, don't resize them. Well it depends, if you don't: some parts of the image will be cut anyway, but it's no big deal. I suggest you do not resize, because you'll take the risk of having black bars, which sucks, really.
    Quote Quote
  20. ok so do i just remove the resize line from the avs files in your guide in order to cut out the resize step? or do i have to remove the border line as well?
    Quote Quote
  21. oh and oen final thing, you mention that using 1 Pass VBR is better in quality then using the normal passes.

    if thats true, why do you even suggest using the normal 5 pass in the settings in your guide? is there any reason not to use 1 pass?

    Actually, you have to remove the Black border line, and set value of resize to 720 * 480

    DVD needs to be 720 * 480.

  23. in cce, do you do anything in the 'picture quality' section for the template?

    i noticed there is a setting for animation, it might be useful for the anime ill use with this method. have you tried it?

  24. ok now im getting a strange error

    i did as you said and just removed the border section from the text. now i get an error saying:

    'Frame size 832x56 is not supported. Supported frame size is up to 720x576.'

    all i changed was to take out the border line, here i what i have for the resizing section:

    [
    :: Resize type (Bicubic, Lanczos, Lanczos4).
    @set resize=Lanczos4

    :: Resize Value (Fullscreen is 660, 440 - Widescreen is 660, 330)
    @set width=720
    @set height=480

    Did you try to open the AVS first? 56... it seems like it's an Avisynth error.
    You must had deleted something wrong =l.

    Hmm I think I forgot to tell you that you could only have put
    :: Resize Value (Fullscreen is 660, 440 - Widescreen is 660, 330)
    @set width=720
    @set height=480

    :: AddBorders Value (Fullscreen is 20, 30 - Widescreen is 75, 30)
    @set topbottom=0
    @set leftright=0

    But anyhoo, could you paste the code that was generated, and the Avisynth part in the main main batch?
    Quote Quote
  26. oh lol, that made the difference.

    i had noticed in the avs script that under border it was listed as ( , , , ), maybe that was screwing it up. once i put the values in a 0, it is running fine.

    To be honest, I never tried it out with newer version. Back in the old days CCE's filter made everything worst hahahaha.

    but, you should play with the AVS Script instead of the the CCE Filters. =|.

    Or if you really want to play with CCE filter, look here:
