    Hello all,
I'm sorry if my problem have been posted before.

I'm not sure what to look or how to search on my problem...
    it's like this..

I captured 2 footage : one is about an hour and another one is about 10 minutes.

I captured both using windows movie maker.

But when I want to import it to premiere pro for editing...
for the one-hour footage, it seems that premiere only importing about 2 minutes of the footage.
what happened to the rest of it?

for the 10 minute footage, premier gives an error message:
    "[\dev\starsky\MediaLayer\Src\Audio\AudioPreviewFile .cpp-301]"

but both captured files (avi), can be played normally in windows media player...smoothly.

    anybody got a clue.....please

or can anyone guide me what issue / where to search to solve my problem...?

    Thank you..

Just a guess, but Windows Movie Maker only captures Type-1 avi. Premiere preferes Type-2 avi.

Why don't you use Premiere to transfer your video from your camcorder?

    Occay..
So, the footage I captured is no use to Premiere Pro?

Anyways, thanks dipstick, i'll try your way.

is it possible to recode that Type-1 avi to Type-2 avi?

    thanks again

Search in the tools: Ulead DV Type 1 to DV Type 2 Converter

Also, WinDV is good for transferring DV AVI as it can be configured to save the footage for each clip into it's own file.
There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.
