  1. Hi,
I have a DVD ISO image files on my Hard Disk (Created using DVDClone from a DVD). I burned that image using Nero (option Copy and Backup -> Burn image to Disc) onto a DVD-R. The DVD plays fine on my PC but does not play on my DVD player (Panasonic SD-K510).

In my DVD player, I get the first few screens about the movie rating and stuff and then it does not proceed further. I can't see any menus or jump to any chapter.

Once I tried direct copy from DVD onto another DVD-R using DVDClone and that does not play at all in my DVD player.

What could be the problem? What is the best way to copy DVD onto DVD-R?

    Thanks,
    -RG

The problem might be poor quality media. What media are you using? Also, to verify the quality of the image and burn you could trying writing the image to a DVDRW and see if that plays in your player. If it does, then you pretty much confirmed that the problem was with your media.

  3. Try burning your ISO images with DVDdecrypter, it's seems to give less problem's than Nero and it's FREE.

  4. If the DVD plays fine on your computer the problem is one of two:

1st Incompatibility of your player with the media you're using

    or

2nd the laser lens of your player may need a clean up

and (did I say two? oh! well I lied )

    3rd your player is damaged

    solutions:

1st Try with another brand of media

    2nd Buy a clean kit

    3rd Buy a new player
My oppinions may change, but not the fact that I am right!

I had constant problems with media skipping and pausing and occasionally freezing, regardless of the media I was using, I even bought another brand of DVD player but that was even worse

Changed to using DVD DEcrypter to burn my DVD discs, all my problems stopped, literally

The discs that refused to play on the other brand of DVD player I though was the player so changed it twice, as the same discs played in my old player

In the end it was all down to Nero, since then I haven't touched Nero for burning DVD discs, data fine, video won't use it again

I didn't listen to all the advice about Nero and found out the hard way, some say Nero is great, give it a try if you're problems go away when using the same media but using DVD Decrypter to burn, Nero again is causing burn problems

It can also make a big difference depending what version you are using. I've read on here people that won't use v6.xx of Nero with the problems that its caused and stick to using v5.xx

It could be a media problem. What is the MEDIA CODE on those dvd discs that you're using? Download DVDINFO PRO or DVD IDENTIFIER to find out the MEDIA ID on those discs you're using. The best way to copy a DVD onto a DVD-R is to use DVD DECRYPTER in the ISO READ MODE then to burn use the ISO WRITE MODE. Burn those ISO IMAGES by using DECRYPTER in the ISO WRITE MODE.
