Hi there,
I have used DVD Decrypter to back up a movie. I then open up Instant Copy and go the .VOB file to burn onto a blank 4.7g DVD-R and I get the following error message :
Access violation at address 004B2B1F in module 'ICopy.exe'. Read of address 00000000
Instant Copy then closes and I have to restart. Any suggestions how to get around this issue would be appreciated.
Thanks

Instant Copy isn't all that good of a program. Since you are already using DVDDcrypyer to rip the movie, why not use it to burn the movie as well? Just rip into an iso file and then burn the iso file to disk. Now if your ripped dvd is too big to fit on a single layer disk, use DVDshrink, DVDRebuilder or a similar program to compress your files to 4.7 Gig. You can sey up DVDShrink to output directly to DVDDecrypter and have your compressed files burned automatically. These tools are free, check the guides to the left for more info. Nyah Levi

But for compressing ICopy gives about the best output quality. I use DVDShrink to compress just the extras, then run Icopy to compress the extras again and also movie.
I use ICopy v7 with update 3 and Hidden settings, I didnt like v8, but I use the InstantDrive from v8. I've used it for about 2years. I try new programs as they come up but have found ICopy the best for me.

To each his own, I found that for me shrink did a much better job and I quit using Instant Copy to shrink ual layer movies, I still use it to copy from poor disks that have glitches tho. I find that it will copy stuff that chokes other programs. Nyah Levi

I had a similar problem like that and I used another program to rip the video to the hard drive then tried Instant Copy again and it worked great. DVD Decrypter is bad at doing this to files. Intsnat Copy is the only burning softaware I use. I've tried alot of others, nero, intervideo and the god awful DVDXCopy and none are as good as IC, in my opinion. The quality is awesome on the finished dvd

I had the same problem, so I used 'DVDFab Decrypter' to rip and it worked perfectly. Give that a try.

I've been using Magic DVD Ripper. I only use that though when decrypter doesn't work, which is not very often. It's good to have a backup plan before ripping
