I have been using ffmpegX (registered version) for about 6 months with no problems. Great program. Then suddenly it stopped creating VIDEO_TS folders and all the others files that get created at the same time. The only file I get is a single "____.divx.ff.mpv" file. All my settings in the program are the same as previous times, Author as DVD (VIDEO_TS) is checked in the Tools menu.

Tried 3 times with 3 different types of files (to see if it was the program or an individual file type), and I stilll just get one .mpv file. The only change I made to my system was to upgrade to Quicktime 7 (I'm on a Macintosh). I checked the Library/Application Support/ffmpegX (folder) and all the binaries are there.

Any suggestions or support would be great.
    Thank you very much.

  2. Make sure the process was finished (the word "Finished" was displayed in the Progress window). If yes then email me the process output (obtained by clicking the blue "i" icon in the progress window) to major4@mac.com for further inspection.

  3. I'm not 100% certain about this since I don't use the video_ts creation all that often, but I seem to remember that some part of the post processing will fail if there are spaces in the file names, or if the file names are too long or something.

Since you have your mpv, create your audio file with the "movie audio to..." preset and then rename them something like movie.mpv and movie.ac3 and try muxing and authoring them from the tools tab.

    Hello
    I also have AUDIO_TS & VIDEO_TS problems
When the word "Finished" appears in ffmpegX program, It does not mean everything is finished.
Sometimes if I open the ____.mov Folder , I can see that the HD is still working , gettin' bigger and bigger. And only after a while the all thing stops.
Sometimes I can use this ____.mov Folder and everything is OK.
Sometimes Nothing in this file is good to use (Black and/or no sound)
25 % success but each time It was 7 or 10 Hours waiting before I know if the job is good or not
    Chrts

  5. No, when the word "Finished" appears in the progress window, everything is finished. It is when "100%" appears that everything may not be finished.

I had a similar problem today (also registered user). I tried encoding an Mpeg1 file from Eyetv USB and I followed the directions in the "How to" for DVD: encoded using DVD mpeg2enc and saving to a folder on my desktop. Several minutes after the progress bar window said "Finished" I opened the folder and found only one file - suffix was .m2v. No TS Video and TS Audio files! QuickTime wouldn't open it, saying there was an error. VLC did play the file...but there was no audio. What did I do wrong?

    cheers,

Well, after last night's failure I just quit ffmpegX and trashed the useless file, so I can't find the log. But tried again with a different file today and this time it worked. On the previous one I had changed the destination name and folder. This time I left it at the default. Dunno if that was the issue.

    cheers,

    FILM OK but no sound

  11. Open the movie in ffmpegX and check what the source "LCD" displays say about audio.
