making menus

can anyone help me I have 2 movies put to-gether using dvdshrink re-author mode, i now have tmpenc dvd author how can i add chapters to both movies using tmpenc dvd author so when i play with home dvd player I will get a menu which allows me to pick any title of both 2 movies

Firstly, the bad news - there's plenty of guides telling you how to do this, both here, at Doom9 or via a google, so RTFM, NOOB !



Now ...

In TMPGEnc DVD Author, start it up, and create a new project. Hit the Add DVD Video button, and point it at the VIDEO_TS folder DVDShrink output. This should then give you the choice of two titles (your two movies) and possibly a choice of audio as well (TDA only supports one audio stream). Choose the first one, then hit Next. Tick the reading chapter information tickbox (if it isn't already). Don't worry about the bottom option to do with copying video data - leave it unticked. Hit OK, and OK again.

Now create a new track by clicking the link that says "Add new Track" in the pane on the left. PRess the Add DVD Video button and repeat that bit again, only this time, select the 2nd title instead.

Now you should have each movie (title) set up as a seperate track, so you can press the Create Menu button to go to the menu section. The beauty of this method is that all the original chapter points should be retained. You can choose one of the preset menus or you can choose custom and design your own, right down to the menu background image or motion menus if you want to get really fancy. The Main Menu will let you select between the tracks (so between each movie) and then the track menus for each will be your chapter selection menus.
