I have an avi file that I am trying to encode into mpeg2 using TMPGenc v2.02 so that I can put it on a svcd. It is of a cheerleading competition so there is quite a bit of motion / action in it.
Each time I encode it (using every combination of paratmeters that I can think of) I get distortion around the girls when they are running. The distortion kinda looks like a movie special effect where a person passes through a force field. The area around the girls is somewhat blurred. Slowly moving objects normally do not show this distortion.
I an encoding to 480x480 using the standard svcd template. I have tried to unlock it and go up to 3000kbps (for xsvcd) with no luck. I had tried noise reduction, ghost reduction, and sharpen edge filters.
Can anyone give me a hint on what to do to fix this.
Thank you
Steven
