  1. I have 2 Digital8 tapes of the same childrens concert (shot on two seperate nights With the same camera, different angles). Is there any program that will let me insert video only over the existing audio, making it look like two seperate cameras were used. (Or am I getting in way over my head here). Ive been using Sonic My DVD 6 to edit and burn dvds and have had alot of success. I dont want to get way to involved or way to expensive. Thanks for the help.

you'll probably run in to a heaping helping of sync issues if you're trying to use audio from one night and video from 2 different nights.. if it were the same performance filmed from 2 different camera's it probably wouldnt be much of an issue at all.. you'd just find one sync point and work from there.. your best bet would be have the audio/video muxed together and cut what you want from both nights and merge them together.

As lumis says, don't expect exact sync from inserting shots from night two over your night one audio, but if you stick to mostly wide shots from night two, what you want can be achieved with Vegas.

That can probably be accomplshed to some degree as mentioned above but you'll need some good software,

    Vegas as mentioned.
    Adobe Premier
    or Ulead Media Studio Pro

I know MSP has a free 30 day trial, the others probably do too.
