I have a dvd that is pal that I want to convert to Ntsc. I figured the easiest way would be to use dvd author to convert the vob files to mv2. I did that fine but it appears that tmpgenc will not read the video file because it has ac3 audio. What would be the next logical step? Thanks!!!

Try DIKO, i use it for NTSC to PAL conversions and haven't had a problem with it yet. Video quality is great(no jerky picture) and it handles avi or vob sources. This IS the one click conversion software i've been looking for and i'ts free.
Just configure it for NTSC.“He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man.” -
Is it not easier to get a region free hack for Dvd player oppose to converting?

Well, i like to just throw the dvd in and watch, i personally don't like messing around with hacks before watching a movie.
