I did a search and read a lot but didn't really see my problem discused, if I missed it I appolgize.

I have been using Sonic MyDVD to burn DVDs of some programs I've recorded. They are in "mpg" format, I guess mpg2. They are usually about 3GB in size. Normally when I go to load them in Sonic MyDVD it gives the size and it pretty much maches the recorded size. I use the "Fit-to-DVD" Quality setting and have never had a problem and get good recordings. Today something happened and I can't figure it out. When I go to load a video that is about 3GB, Sonic MyVD says it is 4.7 (or about) and won't record it. It says to reduce project size and try again. I haven't done anything that I know of.

    Any help please?

If the source isn't dvd compliant it will reconvert and may make it bigger and mydvd may sometimes also reconvert a compliant source. Like reconvert the audio to wav/pcm audio and it will make it bigger. Try use something else like tmpgenc dvd author.
