I just created a VCD. When I play it on my DVD player, the video and audio are in sync. Everything is fine. However, when I fast-forward or rewind the movie and then hit play, the video and audio are no longer in sync!
But when I play either the mpeg file or VCD on the computer, then fast-forward or rewind, and then play, the audio and video never go out of sync.
Why is this? Does anyone know the problem? I de-multiplexed the mpeg file using TMPGEnc and it turns out that the audio file is four seconds longer than the video file. Is this the cause of the problem?
How do I fix it? Can anyone help?

Assuming of course your files meet the VCD spec, then the problem is your standalone player.
Double check your files meet VCD specs.Google is your Friend
