I have an Artec DVD-ROM that I'm going to replace. I'm considering a LiteOn drive because I can also use it to run K Probe. Does anyone have any ideas about how well it reads and how fast it is. Is a LiteOn DVD writer as fast when reading as a LiteOn DVD-ROM? I don't want to forfeit reading speed or accuracy just for the sake of running K Probe.

If you're going to do Kprobe scans it's best you use a DVD BURNER not a DVD-ROM. Check out the LITEON FORUM at CDFREAKS.COM for more info on Kprobe scanning. With the prices of dvd burners you might as well purchase one than a dvd-rom if you're wanting to do Kprobe scans. Just my 2 cents!Originally Posted by SCDVD
