  1. I am trying to edit a wedding video which was burned to dvdr. I don't know what program was used to author the dvd. When I try to "Add DVD Video" using DVD Author, I get a strange error message with symbols and no readble type. I was able to rip the dvd with Smartripper using the demux to file option and the resulting .m2v file loaded but was without the audio as the audio had been saved as ac3 and it gave me no option to load that file with the video. My questions are as follows: 1. Does anybody know what the strange message I received means? 2. If I use Smartripper but do not demux the file, will the result be a set of files I can import into DVD Author? and 3. Is there anyway to import both the ac3 and m2v file I already have into DVD Author or will I need to join them using Tmpgenc Plus into a compliant dvd mpg2 file? Any help is greatly appreciated.

  2. Use IFOEDIT, author a new DVD, and select the .m2v and .ac3 files as your video and audio sources.

Use the new DVD VOB1 file as the input for TDA.

Just rip the dvd with DVD Decrypter in file mode to a temp VIDEO_TS folder on your HDD, then open in TDA.

And you can import the m2v & ac3 file into TDA through add file.

  4. Thanks for the help guys, of course I realized that had I opened my eyes I would have seen the option to select audio source in TDA.
