    Hi everyone.

Im creating a dvd about my village with 4 main movies and a simple menu.

Here what i would like to create if possible:
Whenever the menu button is pressed i would like the dvd to show a short video clip(random) before the menu of the dvd is displayed.

Each short video clip would be about a monument or place in my village.

    Is this possible?

I use dvd lab pro, been using it for about nine months and feel at ease with it.
All my video sources are ready to use.
    Thanks
I love it when a plan comes together!

  2. Ricardouk, I understand that a menu dvd works with connections that means every time you push a bottom it will go to a specific destination,so I don't know about ramdom play. I also been using dvdlab pro for a while if I find out anything about I'll get back to you.

  4. hi ricardouk

    its easy

link the menu button you want to use with this small clip instead of the main movie.
then in connections window find this small(s) clip, you ll see a very small circle
in the end of it,right click on it and chose "draw connections",then holding the left mouse button you can join this point with the begining of the real movie.

like this when the small clip will finish the real movie will start, there is no need for direct connection to the movie from the main menu.

    Hi SATSOK

thanks for your help and time.
What i want to achieve is different from what you wrote, your solution will enable me to have a small videoclip before main movie(very esasy)

what i would like to have is the showing of a small random clip everytime i watched any of the main video clips by pressing the "menu"button of the dvd player, not the menu button on dvd lab itself

    sorry if i mislead you

    thanks again for your time

With this scheme everytime menu button is pressed a short clip is shown(movie4) before it sdisplyas the main menu

What I would like to do, is that movie number 4 becomes a random clip

    thanks

Now click on each of your Movies - one at a time - and at the bottom of the Connections Window you will see where it says the name of the Movie and in the top box to the right of that it says Menu button (on remote): In the drop down box to the right of that click on the Random List and the menu button should return you to the Random List at which time it will choose a Movie to play.

Hope that's clear enough. If not post back with any problems. Someone will try to help.
