  1. I have noticed this before and forgot to report it. It is primarily noticable when I record a show that is on a channel that has a channel identifier in the lower right corner. The mpeg file shows the identifier image is much further out from the corner of the image than it is when displayed from the recorded DVD on the TV (from a Sony DVD player). SVCD2DVD appears to be cropping a 2 to 5% (a crude guess) border around the image.

    SVCD2DVD doesn't crop... It could well be TV overscan. What does the dvd look like when played on the computer?
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

  3. dallasmn,
    It's definitely the TV overscan, there is no overscan area on the PC.

  4. I tried the DVD using WinDVD and it does have the entire image. So the standalone DVD player/TV is the source. Thanks.
