Pinnacle Studio 9 how do I enable PAL ??

Hi just got Pinnacle Studio 9 + for Windows. I have a canon mvx250i camcorder. When I ask pinnacle to capture the video it says "unable to capture PAL not enabled".

Now I know I need to change to PAL from NTSC however the button is greyed out for some reason stuck on NTSC.

Ive tried changing all the options but cannot change to PAL.

How can I change it to PAL please thanks.

I have the same camcorder and have never had the trouble you are describing.

Suggestions of things to check:

1. Regarding the TV Standard setting option - Quote from yhe Studio manual "If you purchased your Studio product in North America this option is permanently set to NTSC" - check with whoever you purchased the software from.

2. Is your camcorder PAL ? - I know a friend of mine imported one from Hong Kong cos it was cheap and it turned out to be a NTSC model.

Sounds like PS9 is bought in US and camcorder in EU ?
