This topic was actually addressed in January 2005, but I couldn't find any resolution to it. To briefly restate the problem: trying to resize the ffmpegx Progress window, causes the entries to resize also. E.g., making it wider causes the entries to become proportionally larger, rather than making it possible to see the end of the entry - it gets farther away! Making the window longer causes the entries to disappear either below or above the window, and the scroll bars won't allow you to scroll to see them anymore.
I was doing several encodes over night, and could see that some failed, but I couldn't click on the icon to see the log to find out what failed!
I guess I can open everything in a separate terminal window until this is solved - haven't tried that before - but it would be nice if I could see what failed!
