Quick Reply - Not Any More...

Is it just my browser, or my work PC, or has the "Quick Reply" box disappeared?

I've had a hunt around the "Feedback" forum and "Latest site news" in case there's a mention of it, but nothing...

OK, am I missing something? That icon (or "BOX") has always been there, it's just that the dashes around it are new.

Clicking on that icon has always, and still does, bring the relevant post to the top of the page with it's own URL in the address bar.

So, why the exaggerating of the size of the icon and the word box in big letters. Why would stiltman be laughing so hard?

Well, I figured that was the case but it doesn't seem to be any different to the "page" icon.

No, that box was to address the fact that so many peoiple didn't know it was an icon that linked directly to that post (even I didn't know it).

Nothing to do with reply, mostly as an aide to help us for when people use "report this post" and link directly to the post instead of the whole thread, which can be a pain, especially on multi-page ones.

Yep, that's what I thought - I saw that in the Feedback forum.

So, it seems the "Quick Reply" field has gone - either by design or by accident - hasn't been replaced, BJ_M needs his meds and stiltman nearly pissed himself laughing over... something(?)

It's back. It was just a small accident...I used a ' instead of a " when I added the box.

The paper was always there, now it's just a box around it so people know it's a link, and not a pretty icon.
