    Hi

    This is my first post
Very much a newbie to dvd recording.
I have been trying to put some footage onto dvd. So far i have taken the footage from the pal vhs tape, copied it onto disc via my pioneer dvd recorder. I did it in video mode then i have transferred it onto my computer through workshop2

All up it comes to 4.2 GB

Menus etc are not a problem. 2 problems i have found:

1). My recording was 1 conitinuous clip. when workshop breaks it down
example (050603-001 and 050603-002 etc) and when play it back (either previewing or after burning ) there is a pause between each and i lose a second or so of footage/audio.

2). I have still tried to burn this to a single layer disc just to see how it goes. I have a dual layer lite on burner. Problem is 3/4 of the way through the audio is out of sync about a second or two. On workshop with the preview there is no out of sync happening.

Any help would be very appreciated

  2. I would rip the DVD to the hard drive first (may help sync).

  4. DVD Decrypter or DVD Shrink will rip DVD's to your hard drive. Shrink can also be used to resize the DVD files so a 7 or 8gb dual layer DVD will fit on a single layer DVD - or +R disk.
Check the Tools section of this site.
